Jaleed Khan

I’ve had the privilege of working across academic and industry settings for over eight years, focusing on AI, machine learning, computer vision and data science. My journey has taken me from mentoring students in Pakistan to leading cutting-edge research at the University of Oxford and Fujitsu Research in the UK. I’ve always been passionate about helping others learn and grow. Whether it's guiding students through complex concepts in AI and data science, or coaching professionals as they transition into the data science world, I get a real sense of fulfillment from seeing others succeed. In fact, I’ve mentored over 30 mentees, from university students in Ireland and the UK to professionals in international bootcamps. It's all about finding that "aha" moment for someone and supporting them along the way. In addition to teaching and mentoring, I’ve led teams in exciting R&D projects, including designing deep learning models for social digital twins, exploring AI applications in healthcare, and providing data-driven predictive and prescriptive analytics for businesses. Along the way, I’ve published over 40 peer-reviewed papers and had the opportunity to speak at conferences around the world, from the US to Europe. But beyond the research, it's the personal connections with my students and mentees that I cherish the most. In my work, I focus on blending theory with practical, real-world solutions. I believe learning should be engaging and fun, not overwhelming—so I aim to create environments where you can not only absorb knowledge but also apply it with confidence.
